When it comes to all things HR, James doesn’t just follow the rulebook - he wrote it in the first place, added a witty footnote to make it engaging, then turned it into a fun lunch-and-learn session.
As our Human Resource Manager, James is the calm, clever centre of our people operations. With a personality that lights up the office and a brain that’s basically a human HR encyclopedia, he handles everything from compliance to culture with professionalism, empathy, and just the right amount of dry humour.
James brings years of experience and a sixth sense for people management to the role. Whether he’s managing recruitment, coaching leaders through tricky conversations, or gently reminding us that “urgent” emails probably shouldn't be sent at 11pm, James has a way of making even the most complex HR matters feel manageable.
But his talents don’t stop at the office door. Outside of the office, James is a culinary enthusiast who can fold dumplings with chef level precision and quicker than you can say “yum cha”.
He mixes a cocktail like a seasoned bartender and somehow always knows the best restaurant, plus what to order and what to wear. James turns up to Zoom meetings looking like he just walked off a runway and we’re not even mad about it.
Honestly, we’re just trying to keep up. Truth is, James makes the complex simple, the formal friendly, and the everyday a little more elevated. We’re lucky to have him and our HR has never looked (or tasted) better.
